Mariam Namakula is a Lawyer by profession passionate about leadership, gender equality and human rights. Mariam is a seasoned debater and former Guild Speaker at Islamic University in Uganda Kampala Campus in the year 2021 – 2022. Mariam is also the founder of Mamu Mental Health Initiative a nonprofit organization aimed at creating mental health awareness among the youth. She was recognized by the Keturah Mental Health Awards 2022 for category Youth Impact on Mental Health for her outstanding contribution in creating mental health awareness. Mariam is a fellow and Cohort Female Lead for the Leadership Advancement Programme 2022/2023.
